Viasat-3 F3 (APAC) Satellite Overview
Viasat-3 F3 (APAC) is a next-generation high-throughput geostationary communications satellite developed and operated by Viasat Inc. as part of the global Viasat-3 constellation. The APAC satellite is designed to deliver ultra-high-capacity broadband connectivity across the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, and parts of Africa.
Built by Boeing on the advanced 702MP+ satellite platform, Viasat-3 F3 features a fully digital payload architecture with dynamic beamforming and flexible bandwidth allocation. This allows the satellite to efficiently distribute capacity where demand is highest, supporting both fixed and mobile users.
Once operational, Viasat-3 F3 is planned to be positioned at approximately 59.7° East longitude in geostationary orbit (GEO), enabling wide regional coverage and seamless integration with Viasat’s global network.
Viasat-3 F3 is the third satellite in the Viasat-3 series, following:
The APAC satellite is expected to play a critical role in expanding Viasat’s global broadband network, providing affordable, high-capacity internet services in regions with growing connectivity demand.
Viasat-3 F3 represents a major step toward global satellite broadband coverage, supporting increasing demand for high-speed connectivity, mobility services, and digital infrastructure. The satellite is part of Viasat’s long-term strategy to deliver scalable, resilient, and flexible space-based internet services worldwide.
