ASC Signal 3.7m Satellite Antenna installed in Greenland
An ASC Signal 3.7m Satellite Antenna installed in Greenland at the Nerlerit Inaat Airport at the East-Coast close to the world’s largest fjord-system. The 3.7m Satellite Antenna was one of the most installed antennas around the globe.
ASC Signal Corporation was part of Communication & Power Industries, Inc. (CPI) and was a multinational manufacturer of high-performance, highly-engineered satellite Earth station, radar and HF antenna systems. ASC Signal customers included international broadcasters and Fortune 500 companies, as well as military and government organizations. ASC Signal was leader through design innovation that capitalizes on a more than 40-year heritage of engineering creativity and excellence.
In 2020 CPI sold the ASC Signal Antenna division to Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. CPI had acquired GDSatcom Technologies in 2019, but the U.S. Justice Department required CPI to divest its ASC Signal Division since there would be a monopoly on the antenna business in the USA.
The ASC Signal 3.7m antenna system is designed to address the stringent requirements of both the television broadcast industry and telecommunications network operators who demand unsurpassed flexibility and electrical performance in high-quality, cost-effective, and reliable packages.
The electrical performance and exceptional versatility provides the ability to configure the antenna with your choice of linearly- or circularly- polarized 2- or 4- port combining networks. That versatility is provided at the time of initial purchase, as well as in the future, as your satellite communication requirements evolve.
