In March 2026 our technicians succesfully finished the installation of a VertexRSI 3.8m 'Batwing' Earth Station Antenna for Eutelsat at their Rambouillet Teleport near Paris in France. The antenna was relocated from the CYTA Cyprus facility and will be touched up later this year.

I am in NW Arkansas, I have been disassembling decommissioned equipment, So Far , Have taken down, 7 earth stations , 3 of these were 3.x commercial dishes, The fiberglass circles , I didn't show mercy. However I have just finished. Disassembling, The Big Boy of the Project a 3.8 CPI Batwing Aluminum dish. If any one is interested in a Dish like this , , Sky brokers has one listed for 28,000, reduced from 40,000 , Mine I'll Let Go By the LB, It's down and Ready to Be Shipped Or I'll Deliver, For the Right Transaction, ALUMINUM scrap, ranges from 65 cents up to $1.30 when when googling I believe that shipping weight originally for this dish and mount was 3,000 something pounds so we're at like 3,000 something dollars plus shipping or delivery cost it's been disassembled all bolts and nuts and washers saved will fit on a 16-ft trailer or 16 ft U-Haul box truck the systems can be upgraded with modern equipment and do high performance applications up linked down link here's some eye candy of the project

Very nice antenna๐Ÿ‘

What's the efficiency of an antenna like this? How does it compare to a full petal system

One of the largest projects ever done in Skybrokers history. For an undisclosed customer the 6-member project and installation team dismantled a 16.4-meter VertexRSI Earth Station Antenna in the Netherlands. Large project with big machines and cranes. Seven full trailers were loaded after dismantling. The antenna will find a new home somewhere in Europe.

During the de-installation process, the elevation jack was found to be defective. Using three large cranes, we carefully balanced the reflector to safely remove the jack for refurbishment prior to shipment.

Not so undisclosed as the pictures showing.....

Wow, a 16m FMA. FMA, correct? Ku? Always curious; what type of fuel was used for the de-ice?
