Skybrokers dismantled two Andrew 7.6m Earth Station Antennas at former Bulsatcom in Sofia, Bulgaria.

In March 2024, Skybrokers received a request to disassemble two Andrew 7.6m Earth Station Antennas located at the former Bulsatcom teleport near Sofia in Bulgaria. The project was scheduled for June and July and carried out by a three-member project and installation team. Skybrokers dismantled two Andrew 7.6m Earth Station Antennas were expertly dismantled and meticulously packed for transportation to our centralized facility in The Netherlands. Prior to sale, the antennas will undergo thorough refurbishment.

 

Pay-TV and broadband provider Bulsatcom was founded in 2000. The company serves residential and business customers, providing direct-to-home (DTH) satellite TV, IPTV and broadband Internet services. It also owns and operates its own fiber infrastructure and a retail distribution network.

In February 2024, Netherlands-based telecommunications and media services provider United Group acquired Bulsatcom. In Bulgaria, United Group is concentrated on South-East Europe and owns telecommunications operator Vivacom, alongside Plana Teleport, Nova Broadcasting Group, and the newspaper Telegraph. The company’s operations extend to Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Croatia, and Greece, yielding an annual revenue of approximately 2.7 billion euros (2.9 billion USD).
