CPI 6.3m Ka-band Earth Station Antenna installation at Maspalomas on Canary Islands for Satellite Services provider Aicox from Spain.
In February and March of 2023, Skybrokers collaborated with satellite service provider Aicox from Spain to install and test a new CPI 6.3m Ka-band Earth Station Antenna on the Canary Islands. The project was conducted by a three-member installation and RF test team, with support from Aicox technicians. The team successfully installed and tested the antenna system with its RF chain.
Satellite Operator HispaSat will operate the antenna that is pointed to their newest satellite, Amazonas Nexus. The satellite was launched on February 5th, 2023 on SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket and will offer broadband connectivity to mobile users on airplanes, ships, and travel corridors across the Atlantic Ocean and the Americas. Additionally, the satellite carries a specialized payload of 800MHz intended to provide coverage to Greenland, which will be known as Greensat.
