Skybrokers de-installed an Andrew 3.7m Earth Station Antenna at the McLean Bible Church in Vienna VA in the USA and relocated to Greenland
In June 2017, Skybrokers received a request from a contact associated with the McLean Bible Church located in Vienna, Virginia in the USA. The Church approached us with a request to uninstall their Andrew 3.7m antenna from their premises. Our dedicated team in the United States diligently worked over a span of three days to effectively oversee the dismantling process, utilizing a Telehandler for the task.
Subsequently, the antenna was transported to our US facility for a comprehensive antenna refurbishment, in preparation for its eventual shipment to Greenland. Every component underwent thorough inspection and cleaning, while hardware kits were meticulously examined and assembled. The entire antenna system was then carefully loaded and secured within a 20-foot container, primed for transportation to Greenland. This antenna replacement was necessitated by the severe damage inflicted on the prior identical antenna during a severe storm.
This project involved intricate logistics and complexities, but the end result was a resounding success.
