ChinaSat-3A (ZX-3A) at (unknown)

The ChinaSat-3A (ZX-3A) is the first of a new series of Chinese military satellites. As a communication and broadcasting satellite, ChinaSat-3A will provide voice and data as well as radio and television transmission services to its users.

The satellite was designed by the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST). Some ChinaSat satellites are also thought to provide communications for China’s military.

 ZX-3A was launched on June 29th, 2024, on a modified version of the Long March-7A (LM-7A) carrier rocket, operated by CGWIC, from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in south China’s Hainan Province.
