Intelsat Network Operations Center

Intelsat Network Operations Center

The Intelsat Network Operations Center is to respond to technical issues and to ensure customers have the uninterrupted connectivity and service performance when and where they need it.

To improve customer services, Intelsat has just invested millions in upgrading and consolidating their operations centers in Ellenwood, GA. In addition to new equipment, they have completely reorganized the handling of customer calls and inquiries coming into the NOC. These changes were necessary because the nature of satellite communications and the service Intelsat provides have changed dramatically in just the past few years.

As customers use more end-to-end service models, Satellite Operators like Intelsat are implementing a work environment that streamlines the workflow, improving the customer experience.

Intelsat S.A. is world’s largest communications satellite services provider. Originally formed as International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (INTELSAT), it was, from 1964 to 2001, an intergovernmental consortium owning and managing a constellation of communications satellites providing international broadcast services.

Intelsat S.A. currently operates a fleet of more than 55 communications satellites, which is one of the world’s largest fleet of commercial satellites. All of the Spacecraft operations are controlled through ground stations in Hagerstown, Maryland (USA), Riverside, California (USA), and Intelsat’s biggest Teleport Fuchsstadt in Germany. The company is serving approximately 1,500 customers worldwide and employs a staff of approximately 1,100 people.
