Eutelsat KONNECT is a new-generation High Throughput Satellite (HTS) offering unprecedented operational flexibility. The innovative new satellite, built by Thales Alenia Space, will enter operation progressively from November 2020.

Delivering significant resources for broadband services across Europe and Africa, Eutelsat KONNECT sets a new benchmark for flexibility in High Throughput Satellites.

Providing 75Gbps of capacity across a network of 65 spotbeams, which together provide quasi-complete coverage of Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa, the satellite will address direct-to-user consumer and enterprise broadband services using dishes from approximately 75cm.

Eutelsat KONNECT satellite was launched in a dual launch with GSAT-30 from satellite operator ISRO from India, on January 16th, 2020 from the Space Port launch site in French Guiana on an Ariane 5ECA rocket operated by Arianespace launch operator.
