PakSat-MM1 (AsiaSat-4) at 38° East

PakSat-MM1 at 38° East is a high-power multi-mission satellite operated by PakSat International, Ltd, a state operator subordinated to SUPARCO from Pakistan. The satellite, developed by China Academy of Space Technology (CAST), a subsidiary of CASC, is based on the DFH-4E satellite platform with a liftoff mass of 5,400kgs, will provide communication services in C-, Ku-, and Ka-band and SBAS services in L-band.

Based on advanced communication technologies, PakSat-MM1 will play a pivotal role in the socio-economic uplift of Pakistan. It will prove to be a stepping stone in the transformation of the country into Digital Pakistan.

The spacecraft will provide various communication services like broadband internet, TV broadcasting, Mobile bank–hauling and VSAT connectivity etc. The satellite was successfully orbited on May 30th, 2024 on a LM-3B launcher operated by CGWIC from China.
