KoreaSat-6A (Mugunghwa-6A) at 116° East

KoreaSat-6A is operated by KT Sat from Korea. The satellite was built by Thales Alenia Space and is replacing aging KoreaSat-6, providing both 20x Ku-band transponders for fixed satellite services (FSS) and 6x Ku-band transponders for broadcasting satellite services (BSS) to South Korea.

 KoreaSat-6A was launched on May 11^th, 2024, on a Falcon 9 rocket operated by SpaceX, from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA.
