Satellite Antenna Dismantling Project for SES Completed by Skybrokers in the USA

In January 2025, Luxembourg-based satellite operator SES commissioned Skybrokers to dismantle two satellite Earth station antennas in the United States. Following detailed planning and logistics, Skybrokers successfully completed the removal of two 6.3m Ka-band Earth Station Antennas, both manufactured by GD Satcom, during May and June 2025.

The first antenna was dismantled at the Cedar Hill Teleport near Dallas, Texas, while the second was removed from the ARK Data Center Teleport in Duluth, Minnesota, north of Minneapolis. The project was carried out by an international team of experienced technicians from the UK and USA, who ensured the safe disassembly and secure containerization of both antennas. The systems were then transported to Skybrokers’ antenna facility in The Netherlands for storage or future deployment.
