Telkom-3 was an Indonesian communications satellite built by ISS Reshetnev on the Express-1000H platform for PT Telkom Indonesia. It was intended to provide C-band and Ku-band telecommunications services, including broadcasting, broadband connectivity, and regional communications across Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
The satellite was launched in August 2012 aboard a ILS Proton-M / Briz-M rocket. However, due to an upper-stage anomaly, Telkom-3 failed to reach its planned geostationary orbit and was ultimately declared a launch failure, never entering operational service.
