Impulso.Space

Impulso.Space is a leading provider of integrated end-to-end launch and in-space transportation services. The company offers satellite spacecraft shipment, insurance, customs clearance, launch mission management, pre-launch activities, storage and brokerage of launch capacity. Based in Melbourne, Florida, Impulso.Space played a role as an integrator for numerous satellite spacecraft missions for both international and US domestic launch vehicle operators.

To date, Impulso.Space has launched 12 micro-satellites for various clients, always with launch operator SpaceX, primarily using its Rideshare service. Recently the company partnered with other emerging players, such as Relativity Space, a US-based company that develops rockets using 3D printing. With Relativity, they will act as both customers (purchasing launch capacity) and serviceproviders. 

Another partnership is with Maritime Launch Services (MLS) in Canada, supporting the development of a new spaceport in Nova Scotia. The company aimes to create a facility with multiple centers that can integrate ground activities, providing end-to-end services on a global scale.


Company History

Impulso.Space was founded in 2019 in Padova, Italy by Pietro Guerrieri. The company started as a launch capacity broker, but soon offered turnkey launch services. Guerrieri worked for launch integrator D-Orbit and satellite operators SES in Luxembourg and Eutelsat in France, overseeing satellite constellation operations.

On January 24th, 2021, the company launched its first mini-satellite with the Transporter-1 Rideshare Mission aboard Falcon 9 rocket operated by SpaceX. The payload was successfully deployed into an SSO.

In February 2024 the company expanded its operations by opening a branch in Melbourne, Florida USA, near the Kennedy Space Center facility. This facility provides dedicated storage spaces for clients and cleanrooms to conduct pre-launch operations, as well as area to provide services such as payload integration, launch vehicle processing, and mission management.


In March 2024 the company signed an extension of an existing agreement with Maritime Launch Services (MLS) to provide integrated launch services for Spaceport Nova Scotia in Canada.

In April 2024 the company signed a contract with launch provider Relativity Space Inc., to deliver logistical and operational. Impulso will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of each mission, from pre-launch preparations to post-launch operations.

In November 2024 Impulso.Space signed a multi-mission launch services contract with D-Orbit, using their ION CubeSat carrier. The agreement includes multiple satellite launches as part of upcoming SpaceX Transporter Rideshare missions, with Impulso.Space providing comprehensive mission management services, including all logistical and technical support, from their state-of-the-art facility in Florida.
