DirecTV-12, later renamed AT&T-12, is a geostationary communications satellite operated by DirecTV and subsequently by AT&T. It was designed to support direct-to-home (DTH) television broadcasting, including expanded high-definition (HD) services across the United States.

The satellite was built by Space Systems/Loral (SSL) on the LS-1300 platform and launched on 29 December 2009 aboard an ILS Proton-M/Breeze rocket. The spacecraft operates primarily in the Ku-band, providing high-power broadcast capacity optimized for nationwide consumer satellite TV reception.

DirecTV-12 strengthened DirecTV’s orbital fleet by adding redundancy and capacity, helping to ensure reliable broadcast services and long-term continuity of U.S. satellite television operations.
