ArabSat-4A (BADR-1)
ArabSat-4A (also known as BADR-1) was a communications satellite meant to be part of the fourth generation of Arab satellites. The satellite was built on the Astrium Eurostar E2000+ platform, but it was lost due to a launcher failure in 2006. Its replacement was ordered as BADR-6 (Arabsat-4AR), while its sibling, BADR-4 (Arabsat-4B), successfully launched in 2006, both serving the Middle East, Africa, and Europe from 26° East.
