Skybrokers de-installed an ASC Signal 4.9m Earth Station Antenna

Skybrokers de-installed an ASC Signal 4.9m Earth Station Antenna at the former Onlime teleport (aka CET Teleport) in Germany.

In March 2024, Skybrokers team completed the de-installation of an ASC Signal (Kratos) 4.9m Earth Station Antenna at the Onlime Teleport facility in Hameln (Aerzen), close to Hannover in Germany. The de-installation was successfully completed with a four-member project and installation team. The antenna system was transported back to our antenna facility in The Netherlands for further refurbishment prior to shipment overseas. Special thanks to Paul, Enno and Lee for their great help with this project.

The Onlime teleport was built by Deutsche Telekom in 1987 and is one of the largest in Europe. Named first as the Central European Teleport then shortened to CET Teleport in 2008 after the acquisition of Stratos. In 2014 the company merged with the Limeline Group and rebranded to Onlime before it was acquired in March 2023 by Data Grid Network that is part of the in 2020 newly formed Commercis, Ltd., a UK-based holding company that also owns satellite service provider Talia.

The Teleport is home to more than 50 satellite antennas from 15m diameter downwards, sitting on 160 acres of land, and since 2009 has under gone a major program of upgrade and refurbishment in every area of operation. The facility is delivering quality services across the globe and operating across a spectrum of frequency bands including C, Ku, Ka, K, and X, using over 200 satellites of Arabsat, Eutelsat, Telesat and YahSat. Moreover, covering almost entirely the earth’s landmass.
